
Here you will learn about the many features Private View has to offer. You will find useful information on how to navigate Private View, as well as information about the full range of account inquiry options available.

Logging in
To ensure you receive the highest protection, Private View features a dual security system that requires both a login ID and password. Your Account Officer will provide your login ID when you enroll. Your password will be e-mailed to you by our Private View System Administrator.
When you login to Private View you’ll immediately see your Account Cabinet, which lists the accounts you have chosen to access through Private View and their corresponding market values.

You can access your account information in Private View in two ways – through the Account Cabinet Quick Views or through the Account Explorer navigation bar.
Account Cabinet Quick View Inquiries
For a quick snapshot of your account information, you can use Quick Views, which provide immediate access to three of the most popular account inquiries – Positions, Transactions and Tax Lots. To access a Quick View Inquiry, simply click on the corresponding icon in the Account Cabinet.
Positions Quick View - Provides a complete list of all the
holdings in your account and details the security name, units,
price, market value and portfolio percentage.
Transactions Quick View - Provides the detailed transaction activity
on your account for the current month-to-date.
Lots Quick Views – Provides a complete view of your
holdings by individual tax lots and includes details on the security name,
lot number, acquisition date, units, unit cost, total cost and unrealized
gain/loss.

Account Explorer Navigation Bar
For more detailed account information on your holdings, you can use the Account Explorer navigation bar. It features a drop-down menu that lets you access up to 14 account inquiries from which to review your account.

Running an inquiry from the Account Explorer is easy. For example, to review a summary of your portfolio, simply:


You can obtain further detail on specific items by clicking on
the magnifying glass icon
beside a
summary category or an individual position or transaction.


You can easily download account inquiries to use with Microsoft Excel or a text editor, such as Notepad or Wordpad.
- Create a folder on your computer in which to store your Fiduciary Trust account downloads.
- Click on the download icon in the Inquiry
Preferences Box
- Right click on the .csv file link; choose ‘Save Target As..’ or ‘Save Link As..’
- Within the ‘Save As’ dialog box, browse to your download folder, rename the file and click on the ‘Save’ button.

You must use your browser’s print functionality to print account inquiries.
- Select ‘Full Screen’ view from the Inquiry Preferences Box at
the top of the page
. Click on Go
. (You do not
need to be in full screen mode to print Quick View inquiries).
- From the Browser Menu select ‘File’ and then choose ‘Print.’

The browser will print only the page that is shown in full screen. To print the entire account inquiry, be sure to choose ‘View All Pages’ from the ‘Page Option’ on the Toolbar. To show all columns, you may have to print the page in "Landscape".
Sending an e-mail to your Account Officer
If you have questions as you review your account, you can send an e-mail to your Account Officer right from Private View.


Getting assistance with Private View is only a click away on any page. To answer your questions and help you get the most out of your Private View session, Private View features a main navigation bar that includes four useful tabs – Preview, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Contact Us and Help.
If you need assistance using Private View you can also click on the help buttons designed to answer your questions on section specific site features and navigation.

With Private View, you can access up to 14 account inquiries that display your account balances, transaction activity and tax lots at both summarized and detailed reporting levels. For customized viewing, you can set preferences – account choice, time period, full screen or regular screen view – for each inquiry. And, if you seek more detailed account information on an individual asset category, position, or transaction, you can click on the magnifying glass icons displayed on each inquiry.
Choose from a variety of account views
The Portfolio Summary provides a concise overview of your account information broken down by investment category.

The Equity Sector Summary provides a review of your equity positions broken down by sector.

The Bond Maturity Summary displays your fixed income positions broken down by maturity band.

Positions View provides a complete list of all the holdings in your account and details the security name, units, price, market value and portfolio percentage.

In addition to the information provided by the Positions View, Positions Detail includes your unrealized gains and losses, estimated annual income and yield.

The Cash and Cash Equivalents detail inquiry displays your cash positions by principal and income.

The Equity Market Values inquiry shows your equity holdings by market value and equity portfolio percentage.

The Equity Sector Detail inquiry displays your equity positions aggregated by sector.

The Bond Maturity Detail inquiry displays your fixed income positions aggregated by bond maturity band. This inquiry provides the maturity date, face value, security name, market value and bond portfolio percentage.

The Transactions Summary shows you a high-level flow of funds on your account. It aggregates your transaction activity into disbursements, receipts, trades and other.

The Transactions by Date inquiry provides information on recent transactions in chronological order.
The Transactions by Category inquiry provides information on recent transactions listed by type of transaction.

The Lots View inquiry provides a breakdown of your unrealized gains and losses by tax lot, sorted alphabetically by security. The details include security name, lot number, acquisition date, units, unit cost, total cost and unrealized gain/loss.

The Unrealized G/L Detail inquiry lists your unrealized gains and losses by tax lots in descending order.
