3. Which accounts can I view with Private View?
With Private View, you can view all of your Fiduciary Trust accounts. When you enroll, your Account Officer will assist you with selecting the specific accounts you would like to access with Private View. If you wish to change your account selection on Private View, simply call your Account Officer at his or her direct number or at 617-482-5270.
4. How current is the account information on Private View?
Private View information is updated at the end of each business day. When you view your account, you'll see balances and transaction activity as of the prior business day.

5. How do I enroll in Private View?
To enroll in Private View, contact your Account Officer at his or her direct number or at 617-482-5270. Your Account Officer will send you a packet of information describing the services offered by Private View. Included in this packet, will be a Private View Agreement that must be signed and returned to your Account Officer. Once we receive your signed Agreement, we will set up your login ID and password.
To access the Private View service, you will need a login ID and password. Once you have viewed, signed and returned the Private View Agreement to your Account Officer, a login ID and temporary password will be created. Your Account Officer will tell you your login ID, and your temporary password will be e-mailed to you by the Private View System Administrator. The first time you login to Private View, you will be prompted to change the temporary password provided by Fiduciary Trust with a password known only to you.
7. Are login IDs and passwords case sensitive?Your login ID and password are not case sensitive. You can enter you login ID and password in any combination of upper and lower case characters when you login to Private View.
8. Can I change my password?The first time you login to Private View, you will be prompted to change the temporary password provided by Fiduciary Trust with a password known only to you. If you wish to change your password at any other time, you may do so online from the Private View login screen. 9. What if I forget my password?
The Private View system will allow you to enter your password three times. For your protection, you will be denied access after your third unsuccessful attempt. When this occurs, you must obtain a new password by calling your Account Officer. 10. Can I give another individual, such as my spouse or financial advisor, viewing privileges on my account?
When you enroll in Private View, you will be assigned a single login ID and password for your use only. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of this information. Although you may decide to share this information with others, Fiduciary Trust cannot be responsible or held liable for any unauthorized disclosures of your financial information that may result. 11. Can I store my login ID and password on my computer so I don't need to enter them each time?
While select browsers offer users the option to save their login ID and password on their computer, as a security precaution, Fiduciary Trust recommends that you enter your login ID and password each time you access Private View.
You can access Private View from outside of North America if the computer you are using is equipped with a browser with 128-bit encryption. 15. Why can't I access the Private View login screen?
To help identify you and allow you to navigate the system, Private View utilizes "cookies", or small pieces of information that are sent from Fiduciary Trust to your browser. If you cannot access Private View, the "cookies" on your browser may be disabled. To access Private View, you must set your browser to allow "cookies". 16. Why am I having difficulty reading the screen?
If you are experiencing poor screen quality you may need to upgrade your browser. For assistance with upgrading your browser, click on Systems Requirements , which will provide a link to current versions of Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.5.
To help you review your positions, transactions and tax lots, Private View offers a variety of account inquiries available at both summary and detail levels, including helpful analytic inquiries, such as bond maturity and equity sector detail. Inquiries available include: Summary Analysis Inquiries:

Once you connect to Private View, you'll immediately see your Account Cabinet, which lists your accounts and their corresponding market values. For additional account details, click on the Positions Quick View inquiry for a complete breakdown of all the holdings in your account. In addition to providing market value, the Positions Quick View provides the units, price and portfolio percentage of your holdings. To obtain more information on individual holdings, simply click on the magnifying glass beside the holding. 20. Where can I find my Unrealized Gain/Loss?
For detail on your unrealized gains and losses, simply click on the Lots Quick View inquiry in your Account Cabinet. There, you can view a breakdown of your unrealized gains and losses by tax lot, sorted alphabetically by security. If you prefer to review a different time period, or to see your gains and losses listed in descending order, simply complete the following:
- Select the Lots inquiry from the Account Explorer
- Click Details
- Choose Unrealized G/L Detail
For more information on any individual holding, simply click on the magnifying glass beside the holding.
21. How do I view recent account activity?To review your transactions for the month to date, simply click on the Transactions Quick View inquiry in your Account Cabinet. If you wish to view a different time period, or to see your transactions by category versus date, simply complete the following:
- Select the Transactions inquiry from the Account Explorer
- Click Details
- Choose Transactions by Date or Transactions by Category
- For more information on any individual transaction, simply click on the magnifying glass beside the transaction.
Although you cannot update your personal information online with Private View, you can utilize the Private View e-mail function to initiate a request to your Account Officer. Or, simply call your Account Officer at his or her direct number or at 617-482-5270. 23. How do I print in Private View?
To print an account inquiry, you must utilize your browser's print function and complete the following steps:
- Select 'Full Screen' view from the Inquiry Preferences Box at the top of the page
- Click on the Go icon (You do not need to be in full screen mode to print Quick View inquiries).
- From the Browser Menu, select 'File' and then choose 'Print.'
- The browser will print only the page that is shown in full screen. To print the entire account inquiry, be sure to choose 'View All Pages' from the 'Page Option' on the Toolbar. To show all columns, you may have to select 'Landscape.'
You can download your account information into a spreadsheet file, which can be used with popular software applications, such as Quicken® or Microsoft® Money. Simply:
- Create a folder on your computer in which to store your Fiduciary Trust account downloads.
- Click on the download icon.
- Right click on the .csv file link and choose 'Save Target As..' or 'Save Link As...'
- Within the 'Save As' dialog box, browse to your download folder, rename the file and click on the 'Save' button.
The file is now ready to be viewed from a text editor, such as Notepad, or a spreadsheet application, such as Microsoft® Excel.
To maintain the highest level of security while using Private View, we recommend that you take the following precautions:
- Create a password that is easy for you to remember, but difficult for others to guess. Don't use sequential or repetitive characters, or your date of birth or phone number.
- Never reveal your password to anyone.
- Logout each time you complete a Private View session.
